The South West‘s Black Girl Convention returns to Bristol for its third year, connecting all things hair and beauty, health & wellbeing, business and enterprise, arts, digital and technology for womxn and girls of African and Caribbean heritage.
Expect opportunities to engage in a range of workshops, experience live demos, hear powerful stories from trailblazing individuals, participate in debate and discussions, shop in the market place and enjoy some amazing live performances.
This isn’t an invitation – this is your conference, this is your home created by people like you, for people like you! Join the movement as we continue to share and shape the Black Girl Experience in the South West.
Who is this for?
Our event is intergenerational, we believe that sharing the lived experience across generations is integral to our personal growth, strengthens our communities, and widens our support network.
Please note some subject content may be sensitive to those under 16.
Independent attendees 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Black Girl Convention is an event hosted by The OJiJi Purple Project LTD (non profit). All funds raised will be invested into the smooth running of BGC 2019, this includes venue refreshments, marketing, facilitators fees, volunteer expenses and gift access for low-income attendees. Any excess funds raised will be used to contribute to future Black Girl Convention activity.
